Tweed Hats
All Mizen Head tweed products are made in Ireland from 100% Irish Tweed - each piece of headwear has a label to confirm this.
Our headwear is fully biodegradable and made from natural raw materials - 100% wool, brass hardwear, recyclable interlinings.
Even the boxes that we send the product out in are recycled.
As all our tweed products are 100% wool and as such needs to be dry-cleaned only.
Wax headwear

Wax headwear is made from 100% cotton which is impregnated with wax to make it waterproof and should be cleaned using lukewarm water and a sponge only - it can then be reproofed with wax reproofer which is available in most outdoor shops. Some drycleaners will clean and reproof wax cotton headwear.
When reproofing the headwear - pay particular attention to the seams - this is where the water will come in.
